Job summary

GSL Education is hiring a Teaching Assistant in Redbridge to support pupils with learning activities and small-group sessions. Paediatric first aid trained candidates are preferred and an ASAP start is expected. The role is 2 days a week (Thursday and Friday) with daily rate of £95-£120.

You will work under supervision to implement curriculum goals, assist with classroom routines, and provide dedicated student support while maintaining safeguarding standards.

Qualifications

• Paediatric first aid trained.
• Experience as a Teaching Assistant in a primary school.
• Strong understanding of the curriculum.
• Experience supporting students on a 1:1 basis and in small groups.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• A valid DBS registered on the Update Service.
• 2-3 professional references covering 2-3 years.
• Proof of right to work in the UK.
• Proof of National Insurance.
• Proof of address (dated within last 3 months).

Responsibilities

• Support learning activities and help implement lesson plans.
• Assist students on a 1:1 basis and in small groups.
• Collaborate with teachers to monitor progress and adapt support.

Requirements:

• Paediatric first aid trained
• Experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a primary school
• Strong understanding of the curriculum
• Experience supporting students on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
• A positive, patient, and enthusiastic approach to supporting learning
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• A valid DBS registered on the Update Service
• 2-3 professional references covering a minimum of 2-3 years of employment history
• Proof of right to work in the UK
• Proof of National Insurance
• Proof of address (dated within the last three months)
