Job summary

Dropmore Infant School is seeking a Teaching Assistant to join our friendly and motivated team. The successful candidate will put the welfare and progress of children at the centre of everything they do and support pupils in reaching their full potential.

You will undertake structured learning activities, assist with planning and prepare resources, support the use of ICT, monitor pupil progress, and provide feedback to teachers.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting learning activities in primary settings.
• Strong communication with pupils and caregivers.
• Ability to follow teacher plans and adapt activities as needed.

Responsibilities

• Undertaking structured and agreed learning activities/teaching programmes, adjusting activities according to pupil responses.
• Supporting interventions linked to learning (e.g. English, Maths) and feeding back to the teacher.
• Supporting the use of ICT in learning activities and developing pupils’ competence and independence in its use.
• Preparing, maintaining and using equipment/resources required to meet lesson plans and assisting pupils.
