Qualifications

Job description

Are you a passionate and experienced Level 3 Teaching Assistant with a love for early years education? We are currently recruiting for a nurturing Primary School with its own Nursery, where your role will be key in helping children transition smoothly from pre-school into Key Stage 1.

With a strong focus on fostering a love of learning, this school is built on values ofteamwork, trust and going beyond— making it a welcoming and rewarding environment for both staff and pupils. You'll be joining a supportive and experienced team that is enthusiastic about providing high-quality education and early development.

Teaching Assistant responsibilities:

  • Support children in the EYFS phase, particularly those due to transition into KS1
  • Work closely with the Nursery teacher and wider support team to plan and deliver learning activities
  • Encourage children’s development across communication, literacy, numeracy, and social skills
  • Build trusting relationships with pupils and promote a positive, inclusive environment
  • Assist with behaviour management, safeguarding and day-to-day classroom organisation

Teaching Assistant requirements:

  • Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
  • Recent experience working in EYFS or Lower KS1 settings
  • A nurturing and proactive approach to early childhood education
  • Strong communication skills and a genuine passion for helping children thrive
  • Right to work in the UK and Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply)
