Job summary

GSL Education seeks enthusiastic Nursery Assistants to support day nurseries in Brentwood on a daily supply basis. This role offers flexibility and variety in early years education. You will help shape young lives through playful learning and nurturing care in a friendly team environment.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children aged 0–5 (nursery or similar) is essential.
• Understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework is a bonus.
• Willingness to obtain an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service.

Responsibilities

• Support babies, toddlers, and preschoolers in daily routines and play-based learning.
• Create a safe and engaging environment for children.
• Assist with snack times, toileting, and maintaining nursery cleanliness.

What You'll Be Doing:

Supporting babies, toddlers, and preschoolers through daily routines and play-based learning

Creating a safe, happy, and engaging space where children can thrive

Assisting with snack times, toileting, and keeping the nursery environment clean and tidy

Working as part of a friendly team to deliver high-quality care and education

Bringing energy, kindness, and adaptability to every setting you visit

What We’re Looking For:

Previous experience working with children aged 0–5 (nursery or similar)

A caring, flexible, and positive attitude

Understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework is a bonus

Level 2 or 3 Childcare qualification is desirable, but not essential

Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
