Job summary

Protocol Education is seeking a KS1 Teaching Assistant to provide dedicated 1:1 support for a child with learning difficulties in a welcoming primary school in London. The role is full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:30am–4:00pm, with a September 2026 start date.

We are looking for a caring, enthusiastic, and dedicated KS1 Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a child with learning difficulties and behavioural needs. This is a full‑time position, working Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 4:00pm, within a welcoming and supportive primary school where you'll be valued as part of the team from day one.

Your Role

As a KS1 Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Build a positive and trusting relationship with the child you support
  • Encourage confidence, independence, and engagement in learning
  • Assist with delivering fun, age‑appropriate activities and lessons
  • Help create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment
  • Support the child's social, emotional, and academic development
  • Work closely with teachers, support staff, and families to ensure the best possible outcomes

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
