To be able to achieve this, we need to have a team of dedicated and outstanding staff, who will contribute to our exceptional learning community.

As part of a job share, we are seeking to appoint an ambitious and enthusiastic member of staff that has a willingness to complete training for teaching assistant, to support the learning and teaching of children. This role may be attractive to those who may already have experience of / or working with children in any setting and who may therefore have relevant skills and knowledge they wish to develop. Applications are also welcome from graduates seeking to gain experience in an educational environment.

Under the guidance of others, the Teaching Assistant will:

  • Work with class groups, individuals and small groups
  • Model and promote positive values, attitudes and behaviour
  • Have a willingness to by fully involved in the life of the academy

In addition to this role, there is an opportunity to work an additional hour on Mondays as a Breakfast Club Assistant, starting at 7.45am. This offers the chance to play a wider role in academy life and support pupils at the start of their school day.

The role is based at Aughton Primary Academy but may, on occasion, involve working at other academies within the trust.

ACET is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

All applicants should read our safeguarding Policy and Safer Recruitment Policy, which are available on the ‘policy’ section of our academy websites.
