Job summary

Oak Grange Nursery and Primary School is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant for maternity cover in Derby. You will support children in Nursery to Year 3, assisting teachers and helping maintain a caring, engaging learning environment.

The role is 32.5 hours per week during term time, on aScale 3 spinal points 6–8, with DBS checks and UK work eligibility required. This is a growing school focussed on curiosity and belonging.

Qualifications

• Must undergo a full enhanced DBS check.
• Must be eligible to work in the UK.
• Safeguarding checks will be undertaken during the recruitment process.

Responsibilities

• Support learning activities and small group work under the supervision of the class teacher.
• Assist with preparation of materials and setting up activities to support the learning environment.
• Help ensure every child feels happy, safe, valued and supported to thrive in the Nursery and Primary School.
