Job summary

Protocol Education is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming school in Wandsworth, Greater London for a long-term position. You will work closely with teachers to support pupils' learning, behaviour, and overall development, helping to create an engaging classroom environment where every student can thrive.

The role involves one-to-one and small-group support, lesson prep assistance, and contributing to an inclusive learning space.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience working with children in an educational or similar setting is desirable.
  • Must hold an Enhanced DBS certificate on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one.
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

About the Role

We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a supportive and welcoming school on a long-term basis. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about supporting children's learning and development within the classroom.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers to support pupils' academic progress, encourage positive behaviour, and help create an engaging learning environment where all students can thrive.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supporting pupils in the classroom on a one-to-one basis and in small groups.
  • Assisting the class teacher with lesson preparation and classroom activities.
  • Helping to maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Supporting students' educational, social, and emotional development.

Requirements
  • Previous experience working with children in an educational or similar setting is desirable.
  • A positive, patient, and proactive attitude.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
  • Must hold an Enhanced DBS certificate on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one.
  • Right to work in the UK.
