Piper Hill High School is seeking a Teaching Assistant Level 4 to join our team. This Grade 6 post is 35 hours per week, term time only plus one week, and is fixed until 31 August 2027.
The starting salary is £29,448 with a full-time equivalent of £34,237. You will support children with social, emotional and behavioural difficulties, plan and lead activities, and work under a teacher to help pupils overcome barriers to learning.

A highly qualified Teaching Assistant with extensive experience supporting children and young people with social, emotional, and behavioural difficulties, as well as those with communication challenges and severe, profound, or complex learning needs. This role also requires proven experience in planning and leading teaching and learning activities, alongside strong skills and expertise in understanding and addressing diverse pupil needs. Applicants will require Numeracy and Literacy skills to level 2 (GCSEs grades 9 to 4/A*-C) or equivalent or higher and an NVQ Level 3 for Teaching Assistants or equivalent qualification or experience
To complement the professional work of teachers by taking responsibility for agreed learning activities across school. This may involve planning, preparing and delivering learning programmes and support to individual students, small groups and on a short-term basis to whole classes. Under the guidance of a teacher, provide support in addressing the needs of pupils who require particular help to overcome barriers to learning.
