Job summary

William Reynolds Primary School & Nursery is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant (Level 3) for a term-time, fixed-term role starting November 2026. Hours are 8:30am–3:30pm with a half-hour lunch break. The post is term-time only for one academic year, with interview dates mid-October.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
• Experience working with children in an educational setting.
• GCSE English and Maths (Grade 4/C or above).
• Understanding of child development and effective learning strategies.
• Experience with SEND and speech and language interventions.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and delivering learning activities.
• Support pupils individually and in groups to enhance learning.
• Help prepare and organise classroom resources and learning materials.
• Monitor and record pupil progress and provide feedback to teachers.
• Promote positive behaviour and classroom engagement.
• Build positive relationships with pupils to encourage confidence and independence.
• Support pupils' emotional well-being and personal development.
