Job summary

Handsworth Grange Community Sports College in Handsworth is seeking an experienced Senior Teaching Assistant Level 3 to support learning in class and deliver targeted interventions for students on the SEN register. The role requires dedication and collaborative working with teaching staff to maximise student progress.

The post is permanent, 37 hours per week, term time, with a start date as soon as possible.

Location: Handsworth Grange Community Sports College

Pay scale: NJC Grade 4, point 7: £26,403 to 12: £28,598 gross per annum

Actual Salary: £22,710.13 to £24,598.13 (under 5 years of service)

Contracts: Permanent, 37 hours per week, term time

Start date: As soon as possible

We are seeking to appoint a committed Senior Teaching Assistant Level 3. The role will involve in class support plus some 1:1 delivery of interventions. The successful candidates will work with the students on the special educational needs register to maximise performance for all students. The department is well resourced, enthusiastic and experienced.

The closing date is at 9.00am on Monday 12 October 2026 with interviews scheduled to take place week commencing 19 October 2026.
