Eslington is a thriving primary school situated on two separate school sites in the Bensham /Teams area of Gateshead. Eslington is a specialist school that meets the needs of primarily Gateshead pupils with an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) who have a primary need of Social, Emotional and Mental Health difficulties (SEMH). We currently cater for up to 70 pupils from Year 1 to Year 6 across the two school sites. Increasing numbers have resulted in the need for this additional post. These sites are situated approximately 20-minute walk between each other.

The governors are seeking to appoint a talented and enthusiastic Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join our team. We are looking for candidates who would be passionate to work with our children alongside a commited staff team.
The post holder will work with children across the primary phase and will include in-class support and one-to-one support. The flexibility to work at either the Rose Street and / or the Hazel Road Sites would be expected as part of the role.

Salary amounts quoted are from the 1 September to 31 August and therefore if you commence employment part way through the academic year, they are subject to an equated salary adjustment.
