Job summary

Mercian Educational Trust’s Honeywell Primary School is seeking a dedicated teaching assistant to support pupils with a range of needs, including small-group work and targeted interventions.

You will work with class teachers to deliver programmes, monitor progress, and assist with classroom routines while maintaining a safe, inclusive environment for all learners across the school day.

Qualifications

• Experience of phonics.
• Enhanced DBS check including Children’s Barred List.
• Ability to perform a role involving constant contact with children.

Responsibilities

• Deliver specific work programmes to children with special needs.
• Supervise individuals or groups to support safety and development.
• Cover-supervise whole classes during short-term teacher absence.
• Work with children in small groups and support whole-class activities.
• Respond to pupils' questions and help complete activities and programmes.
• Use specialist skills to foster intellectual and social development.
