Job summary

The Laurel Academy in Mexborough is hiring a Teaching Assistant Level 2 to join the team in October 2026 on a part-time, permanent basis. You will work under the guidance of teaching and senior staff to support learning and classroom management, assisting pupils and enabling access to learning inside and outside the main teaching area.

The Laurel Academy is an 11–16 academy with around 800 pupils. It has a strong community ethos and a history of high pupil behaviour.

Responsibilities

• Work under the instruction/guidance of teaching/senior staff to undertake work/care/support programmes to enable access to learning for pupils and assist the teacher in the management of pupils and the classroom.
