Qualifications

• Holds a relevant Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).
• Experience working with children in a school or educational setting.
• Patient, reliable and able to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
• Good communication skills and a flexible, team-focused approach.
• Committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils individually or in small groups to reinforce learning and promote progress
• Assist the class teacher with lesson preparation, delivery and classroom organisation
• Encourage pupils' social, emotional and behavioural development
• Help maintain a safe, supportive and stimulating learning environment
• Support pupils with additional needs, following individual education or support plans where appropriate
