Job summary

Affinity Learning Partnership in Swadlincote is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant who will work with staff and students, building strong relationships and fostering a positive learning environment.

You should hold an NVQ Teaching Assistant or equivalent, with knowledge of literacy, numeracy and science, and a solid understanding of behaviour management. Apprentices welcome.

This permanent, full-time role offers 32.5 hours per week across 39 weeks, with a closing date 16 October 2026.

Qualifications

• Solid understanding of current practices in supporting children’s learning and behaviour management.
• NVQ Teaching Assistants or equivalent skills and experience are essential.
• Ability to support learning in literacy, numeracy and science.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with staff and students, building strong relationships and fostering a positive learning environment.
• Provide classroom and one-to-one support to help students succeed.
