Job summary

Hunsley Primary School are looking for an individual who is committed to making a positive impact in the lives of children to join our friendly and dedicated team of Teaching Assistants who support and care for children within our school.

The post is part time (21.16 hours per week) during term time, Monday to Friday, with some lunchtime supervision duties. The actual salary is £12,649.97 per year, paid in 12 equal instalments. Fixed term until 31 August 2027.

Qualifications

• Level 2 TA qualification or willingness to work towards it.
• Good literacy and numeracy skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Clarify and explain instructions to pupils.
• Ensure pupils can use equipment and materials provided; assist with moving and handling as needed.
• Assist in identified areas such as language, behaviour, reading, spelling, numeracy, handwriting and ICT use.
• Help pupils concentrate on and finish work set.
• Meet the physical needs of pupils while encouraging independence.
• Liaise with the class teacher and SENCO about individual needs.
• Develop resources to support the pupil(s).
