Job summary

Hunsley Primary School is seeking three caring Teaching Assistants to join a friendly team. The role supports learning, care and development of children during the school day, including lunch supervision.

The salary is £18,682.02 per year, paid in 12 equal installments, and the position is permanent with term-time hours. Successful applicants will need Level 2 TA qualifications or willingness to work towards them and demonstrate strong literacy and numeracy, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Good literacy and numeracy skills.
• Level 2 TA qualification (or willingness to work towards).
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate participation and learning for pupils individually or in small groups.
• Help build confidence and self-esteem.
• Clarify and explain instructions; ensure pupils can use equipment and materials.
• Assist in identified areas such as language, behaviour, reading, spelling, numeracy, handwriting, ICT, and EAL.
• Help pupils concentrate and finish work.
• Meet pupils' physical needs while encouraging independence.
• Liaise with the class teacher and SENCO about individual needs.
• Develop resources to support pupils.
