Job summary

Little Heaton CE Primary is seeking a Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join our team. The role supports learning alongside class teachers, promotes pupil independence and well-being, and works with children who have a range of learning and personal care needs.

The post is 32.5 hours per week during term time plus one extra week, with a focus on safeguarding, inclusion and helping every child flourish in a nurturing, inclusive environment.

Qualifications

  • Experience of working with children, ideally within a primary school.
  • Committed to safeguarding and inclusion.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with pupils, families and colleagues.

Responsibilities

  • Support learning and work closely with teachers to deliver lessons.
  • Promote children’s independence and wellbeing in class.
  • Create a positive, engaging classroom environment.
