Job summary

Lime Academy Larkswood, part of Lime Trust, is seeking a Teaching Assistant Level 2 to support pupils with complex physical, medical and learning needs under the direction of the class teacher.

The role is term-time, 32.5 hours per week over 39 weeks, with responsibilities including classroom management, creating a supportive learning environment, and promoting inclusive learning. Enhanced DBS and child protection screening are required; visa sponsorship is not available.

• Support pupils with complex physical, medical and learning needs to access learning, through planned activities and interventions set under the class teacher's direction
• Manage pupil behaviour in line with school policy
• Help the class teacher manage and organise the classroom
• Help create and maintain a purposeful, orderly and supportive learning environment
• Promote inclusion so all pupils have equal opportunities to learn and develop
• Build and maintain respectful, considerate relationships with pupils
• Work with families and other agencies so every pupil is valued, challenged and supported
• Hold high expectations that every pupil makes sustained academic and personal progress
• Promote and safeguard the welfare of children and young people in the school
