Job summary

Smile Education Recruitment is seeking a Teaching Assistant (Level 2) for a Grimsby school from September 2026. This 32.5-hour-per-week role runs during term time plus 5 days, with the start date in September 2026.

You will support the class teacher, work with pupils including those with SEND, help prepare resources, monitor progress, and contribute to safeguarding in a nurturing, inclusive environment.

Qualifications

  • Experience of working with children in a school or educational setting.
  • Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent (desirable).
  • Understanding of child development and effective learning strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patient, nurturing and committed to supporting all pupils to succeed.

Salary: NJC SCP 3 (Pro-rata)

About the Role As a Teaching Assistant (Level 2), you will work closely with teachers to support pupils' learning, development, and wellbeing. You will play an important role in creating an inclusive and engaging learning environment, providing both classroom and individual support to pupils.

Key Responsibilities
