Job summary

Bolton School is seeking a qualified Level 1 Teaching Assistant to join the Boys’ Junior School on a fixed-term basis for one year. The 25-hour week runs 8.15am–1.15pm, Monday to Friday, during term time. You will support the class teacher, prepare resources, and work with individuals or small groups to promote pupil learning and behaviour.

The successful candidate will have Level 1 Childcare and Education or equivalent, be a strong communicator, and enthusiastic about working with children.

Qualifications

• Level 1 in Childcare and Education or equivalent.
• Experience of planning activities.
• The ability to work in a team.
• Strong communication skills.
• A genuine enthusiasm to work with children.

Responsibilities

• Support the class teacher delivering activities in line with the curriculum.
• Assist in the preparation of teaching resources.
• Provide feedback to pupils and the teacher.
• Work with individuals or small groups under the supervision of the teacher.
• Promote good behaviour and communicate effectively to support pupils’ learning.
