Job summary

Bolton School’s Boys’ Division Junior School is seeking a Level 1 Teaching Assistant on a fixed term basis for one year. The role is 25 hours per week, 8.15am to 1.15pm, Monday to Friday, during term time.

You will support the class teacher, help prepare teaching resources, and provide feedback to pupils. You will work with individuals or small groups, promote positive behaviour, and communicate effectively to support learning.

Qualifications

• Level 1 in Childcare and Education or equivalent required.
• Experience in planning activities for pupils.
• Ability to work in a team and communicate with pupils.

Responsibilities

• Support the class teacher with activities in line with the curriculum.
• Assist in preparing teaching resources.
• Provide feedback to pupils and the teacher.
• Work with individuals or small groups under supervision.
• Promote good behaviour and a positive learning environment.
• Communicate effectively to support pupil learning.
