Job summary

Charlestown Community Primary School is seeking a part-time Teaching Assistant (Level 1 or working towards) to support inclusion across the school. The role is initial temporary for 12 months, with funding-dependent extension. The position runs 20 hours per week, 38 weeks per year, 10am-2pm daily, across the school, starting ASAP.

The ideal candidate is organised, proactive and can work well with staff to help all children achieve their best in a stimulating, safeguarding-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Teaching Assistant Level 1 or working towards.
• Commitment to inclusive education and safeguarding.
• Ability to support across the school and adapt to a 38-week year.

Responsibilities

• Support inclusion across the school.
• Assist teaching staff in lessons and activities.
• Support pupils with learning and behavioural needs.

Working Hours: Part Time, 20 hours per week 38 weeks per year 32 hours per week - 10 am - 2pm each day. Number of Positions: 3. Qualifications Required: Teaching Assistant Level 1 or working towards.
