Job summary

Tuition Medical Behaviour Support Service is seeking a Teaching Assistant at Hook A Gate Education Centre, Shrewsbury. The post is 27.5 hours per week, term time only, Monday to Friday 9am–2:30pm, permanent contract. Salary is pro rata within the Grade 6 scale.

The successful candidate will join a team supporting students aged 5–16 with social, emotional and mental health needs. Safeguarding and DBS checks are part of the recruitment process.

Qualifications

• Experience as a teaching assistant is desirable.
• Excellent organisational skills to support teachers.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers with delivery of core subjects, PSHE, reintegration support and sports/leisure activities.
• Support pupils with social, emotional and mental health needs.
• Maintain records and assist with classroom administration.
