Job summary

Shirebrook Academy is seeking a part-time Teaching Assistant to support learning and teaching across the academy. The role is 32 hours 30 minutes per week, term time only, with inclusion of 2 INSET days per academic year and payment for any additional INSET days.

Under the guidance of Senior Inclusion Leads you will promote access to the curriculum, support children in their learning, work with groups and individuals, and act as a keyworker. Safeguarding and CPD commitments apply.

Job description

ACET is a forward thinking and rapidly developing multi-academy trust. We are seeking to appoint an ambitious and enthusiastic part time Teaching Assistant to support the learning and teaching of children and young people,

This role may be attractive to those who may already have experience of / or working with children in any setting and who may therefore have relevant skills and knowledge they wish to develop, the applicant must have a good understanding of how children develop and learn. Applications are welcome from graduates seeking to gain experience in an educational environment and from primary colleagues who have experience of delivering phonics programmes.

Working 32 hours 30 minutes per week term time only. Including working 2 out of 5 INSET days each academic year as directed by the school, with availability to work any or all of the remaining 3 INSET days at short notice should the need arise, and for which additional payment will be made.

The role is based at Shirebrook Academy but you may be required to work in other academies within the trust.

Successful candidates will be subject to a DBS check at the appropriate level.
