Consilium Academies and Thornhill Academy in Sunderland are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support pupils' learning, wellbeing and development. Under the guidance of the class teacher, you will help deliver engaging activities, assist with planning and assessment, and ensure learners access education inside and beyond the classroom.

You will support pupils with SEND and low literacy/numeracy, help with resources, monitor progress, and contribute to safeguarding and inclusive

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Teaching Assistance is preferred.
• Good numeracy and literacy skills required.
• Experience working with secondary age pupils is desirable.
• Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive practice.
• Willingness to contribute to planning, assessment and learning activities.

Responsabilités

• Support pupils, including those with SEND, to access learning.
• Promote independence, positive behaviour and engagement.
• Assist with Education/Behaviour Plans and personal care needs.
• Establish positive relationships, promoting inclusion and acceptance.
• Give feedback to pupils to support their progress.
• Monitor, record and report pupils' progress; support marking and planning.
