Job summary

Waverley Primary Academy is seeking an ambitious and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to support learning across all key stages. The role involves assisting the teacher, preparing resources, implementing work programmes, and providing classroom support at Waverley Junior Academy within the trust.

Under supervision, you will promote pupil access to the curriculum, work with individuals or groups, model positive behaviour, and help with DBS requirements and safeguarding in line with academy

Qualifications

• Experience of working with children in any setting is advantageous.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting welfare of children.

Responsibilities

• Promote and support pupil access to the curriculum.
• Support children in their learning.
• Work with pupils individually or in groups.
• Model and promote positive values, attitudes and behaviour.
• Complete observations of their key worker children.
• Encourage pupils to interact and work co-operatively with others, and to engage in classroom activities.
• Encourage pupil to act independently as appropriate.
