Key Responsibilities Of a Higher Level Teaching Assistant

• Provide support to pupils across all key stages
• Cover classes during short-term teacher absences
• Engage pupils in learning on a 1:1 and small group basis
• Assist the class teacher with various tasks and day preparation
• Supervise children during lunch breaks
• Perform general administrative duties
• Contribute to the school's culture and ethos
• Passionately deliver the best educational experience for children
  
  

What We Look For in a Higher Level Teaching Assistant:

• HLTA qualification
• Enthusiasm and passion for education
• Interest in supporting pupils to overcome learning barriers
• Experience working with children and young people
• Ability to effectively manage challenging behaviour
• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
• Good general education (GCSE Grade C or equivalent in English and Maths) and IT proficiency
