Job summary

Greenacre School in the United Kingdom is seeking a dedicated classroom assistant to support pupils aged 3 to 19 with severe and complex learning disabilities. You will help prepare the classroom, support lesson delivery and monitor pupil engagement.

Working closely with teachers and the wider team, you will contribute to individual education plans, promote positive behaviour, document progress and help create inclusive learning experiences across main site and satellite classes.

THE ROLE

• Getting the classroom ready for lessons
• Observe and document student progress, providing feedback to the teaching team on their development
• Collaborate with teachers and other staff to develop individual education plans for students requiring additional support
• Help manage classroom behaviour by implementing strategies that promote positive interactions among students.
• Completing records/ pupils plans
• Leading small and whole class group work
