Job summary

Briar Hill Primary School in Northampton is recruiting a Teaching Assistant to support pupils and classroom activities. The role is 30 hours per week, term-time (39 weeks) on a fixed-term contract until 31 August 2027, working to support a team in delivering learning and safeguarding responsibilities.

Job description

We are recruiting for a teaching assistant at Briar Hill Primary School in Northampton.

About the role

30 hours per week, Term Time 39 weeks Part-time Fixed Term Contract. until 31st August 2027

To support in the organization and management of pupils and the classroom.

To work with the team in creating and maintaining a purposeful, orderly and supportive learning environment.

To promote the inclusion of all pupils, ensuring they have equal access to opportunities to learn and develop.

To be responsible for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young people within the school.

Who we are looking for

To work with individuals and groups of pupils to deliver learning programmes.

To encourage pupils to interact with others and engage in activities.

To assist with the general pastoral care of the pupils, including helping pupils who are unwell, distressed or unsettled.

To assist the pupils with personal needs as appropriate.
