Job summary

The Leys Primary and Nursery School in England is hiring a Teaching Assistant for Key Stage 2 to support individuals and small groups under the direction of the class teacher. Candidates must have GCSEs in English and Mathematics at grade C or equivalent.

The role is full-time, school hours 8.45am-3.15pm, term-time only, with a permanent contract from November 2026. You will contribute to a friendly, collaborative team and support pupils to reach their learning goals.

Qualifications

• Strong literacy and numeracy skills and good communication.

Job description

We are looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant for Key Stage 2, to join our friendly and hardworking team. The job will involve carrying out a variety of tasks under the direction of the class teacher including supporting individuals and small groups of pupils, leading provisions to support the learning of pupils as needed. All candidates will require GCSEs in both English and Mathematics at grade C or equivalent.

This position is full-time, school hours 8.45am-3.15pm, term-time only and is a permanent contract from November 2026.

The post will involve supporting pupils in the Juniors.
