A leading education provider is looking for an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant and Cover Supervisor to join their community school in London. The role involves supporting learning, promoting independence, and assisting in class under the guidance of qualified teachers. Interview: Wednesday 9th July Salary: Grade 5 – Point 13 £23,720.00 annual (FTE £31,986)
Hours: 30 hours/week – term time only – Monday-Friday 8.15 am-3.15 pm (1 hour unpaid lunch)

We are looking for an experienced, motivated, enthusiastic Teaching Assistant/Cover Supervisor to join our two-form entry school.
To work under the guidance of teaching/senior staff and within an agreed system of supervision to support and deliver learning programmes with individuals or groups, both in and outside of the classroom. The role may involve assisting with planning, preparation of resources, and supervision of classes during short-term teacher absence. The primary focus is to support learning, promote independence, and maintain a positive, inclusive environment for all pupils.

As this role involves working with children, it is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 – this means that you are required to declare any convictions, cautions, reprimands and final warnings that are not ‘protected’ as defined by the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (as amended in 2013). The amendments to the Exceptions Order state that certain ‘spent’ convictions and cautions are ‘protected’ and are therefore not subject to disclosure to employers and cannot be taken into account.
Photographic identification and certificates of all relevant qualifications will need to be provided at the interview stage.
