Job summary

Barclay Academy is seeking a Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant, inclusive school in Stevenage. The role can be 25 or 37 hours per week, with in-school hours and a focus on supporting students across lessons.

Experience of primary education and phonics would be welcome, and staff development is encouraged within the Inclusion Department. The role involves co-planning and co-delivering parts of lessons, understanding curriculum needs and SEN requirements, and helping the class progress with

Qualifications

• Experience of working with primary-aged students and phonics would be welcome.
• A passion for education and working with young people.

Responsibilities

• Support students in lessons and two specific subject areas.
• Collaborate with subject teachers for co-planning and co-delivery of parts of lessons.
• Ensure students understand the curriculum and SEN requirements are addressed.
• Provide in-class support to help students become as independent as possible.
