Job summary

Randstad Education is actively seeking Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistants to support primary pupils across Blackpool and the Fylde Coast. Short-term and long-term placements are offered, with flexible pathways from day-to-day cover to longer contracts.

Responsibilities include 1:1 or group support in reading, writing and maths, aiding SEN pupils, and assisting with resources and classroom setup. DBS update service is preferred.

Qualifications

• Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or substantial primary school experience).
• Proven experience supporting primary-aged pupils.
• Strong communication and confident behaviour management.
• DBS on the Update Service or willingness to process one with Randstad.

• Guide pupils 1:1 or in small focus groups to accelerate reading, writing, and maths progress.
• Support students with additional educational needs (SEN) to promote full classroom inclusion.
• Assist class teachers with lesson resource preparation, display work and classroom setup.
• Foster a positive, encouraging environment that builds pupils' confidence and independence.
• Supervise group activities, break times and school trips ensuring child safety at all times.
• Share constructive feedback with teachers regarding pupil engagement and milestone achievements.
