Job summary

Quay View School in Bere Alston is recruiting a Teaching Assistant to join our education team. We are seeking versatile, resilient individuals who can support across key stages and adapt practice to student needs. A free minibus service is available from Plymouth to the school.

The successful candidate will be able to work collaboratively with teachers to support learning and wellbeing, with a focus on students with autism (ASD) and SEMH needs. Training and DBS are provided.

Qualifications

• Prior experience is not required but preferred.
• Experience supporting in a classroom setting is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Support students' safety and welfare.
• Support teaching and learning.
• Assist students to engage and re-engage in their learning.
• Help students regulate emotions through activities.
• Support students' holistic development.
• Collaborate with teachers to adapt strategies for learning.
