Job summary

Oasis Academy Nunsthorpe in Grimsby is seeking a Teaching Assistant Apprentice to join our primary school team. The role focuses on supporting teachers and pupils, developing the skills and behaviours needed for a career in education, with all learning delivered online/remote during the apprenticeship.

The position runs 33.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8:30am–3:30pm and until 4:30pm on Wednesdays (CPD). The salary starts at £8.58/hour and increases to National Minimum Wage after 12 months.

Qualifications

  • GCSEs English and Maths at A*-C/9-4 or equivalent.
  • Must complete an Enhanced DBS check.
  • 16-month Apprenticeship duration with Level 3 qualification.

Responsibilities

  • Support classroom activities and supervise children.
  • Assist pupils with learning and development.
  • Provide additional help to children who need it most.
  • Learn classroom behaviour strategies and teaching techniques.
  • Help plan and prepare sessions.
  • Encourage pupil independence, inclusion and engagement.
  • Support children’s emotional, social and physical well-being.

Teaching Assistant Level 3 Apprenticeship – Oasis Academy Nunsthorpe

Are you passionate about making a difference with children as they embark on their educational journey? We seek an enthusiastic, highly motivated individual to join our team as a Teaching Assistant Apprentice in our welcoming primary school.

Key Details

Salary:£8.58 increasing to National Minimum Wage after 12 months

Working hours: Monday to Friday between 8:30 am to 3:30 pm and until 4:30 pm on a Wednesday (CPD afternoon) 33.5 hours per week

Location:Oasis Academy Nunsthorpe, Sutcliffe Avenue, Grimsby, DN33 1AW

Apprenticeship Details –16 months expected duration to complete, working towards your Teaching Assistant Level 3 Apprenticeship. (All learning is delivered online/ remote).

Training Provider:LMP Education (rated 1st best UK training provider)

As a Teaching Assistant Apprentice, you’ll be an essential part of the classroom team, helping young learners grow and thrive every day. You’ll support both the teacher and pupils, while developing the knowledge, skills, and behaviours needed for a successful career in education.

Your key responsibilities will include:
  • Supporting classroom activities and supervising children
