Job summary

Oasis Academy Aspinal in Manchester is seeking a motivated Teaching Assistant Apprentice to join our warm, inclusive team. This 16‑month Level 3 apprenticeship offers hands‑on experience in a vibrant primary school while studying towards the qualification.

You will work Monday to Friday, 8.30am–4.00pm, 35 hours per week, term time only, with a wage from £8.58 per hour and a rise to National Minimum Wage after 12 months if over 19 years old.

Qualifications

• GCSE Maths and English at 4-9 (A-C) or functional skills equivalent.
• Active role in supporting learners to access the curriculum and promote inclusion.
• Engagement in safeguarding and apprenticeship training requirements.

Responsibilities

• Support teaching and learning across classes, groups or individuals.
• Help raise attainment and pupil independence.
• Support emotional, social and physical well-being of pupils.
• Promote inclusion and equal opportunities within the classroom.
• Assist with planning and delivering engaging learning activities.
• Work under guidance of teachers and SEN coordinators.
• Complete training and coursework as part of the apprenticeship journey.
• Potentially assist with personal care tasks as needed.
