Job summary

Summary: We are a busy, inclusive school and work hard to engage all children in their learning to develop their independence and resilience. We are seeking to appoint a Teaching Assistant Level 3 to join our team.

Previous experience of working in a school is desirable and we are looking for an enthusiastic, hard-working and highly motivated Teaching Assistant with high expectations of the children and themselves. You will join a team that is passionately committed to harnessing the educational potential of all our children whilst encouraging them to engage in daily life with increased confidence, self-esteem and independence.

You will work 28.75 hours per week, Term Time only plus 1 week (additional hours may be available with regards to supporting extra-curricular activities).

The salary range is £28,142- £32,061 full time equivalent (actual pro rata salary range is £18,670- £21,270).

This position is part time, term time only, please note the salary quoted is full time equivalent. If successful, the salary received will be paid on a pro –rata basis.

Essential Qualifications
  • NVQ level 3 or above qualification (or equivalent) - in exceptional circumstances, where local circumstances dictate, qualifications may be viewed as desirable
  • Level 2 or equivalent qualification in English/Literacy and Mathematics/Numeracy
Essential Experience
  • Experience of working with children
  • Experience of working in a relevant classroom/service environment
  • Experience of Administrative work
  • Experience of supporting pupils with challenging behaviour
