Job summary

St Michael's CofE Aided Primary is seeking an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our strong, friendly staff for a 1 year fixed term contract. You will work under the direction of the class teacher, supporting groups of children and individual learners during lessons and lunch times.

You may also assist with first aid if trained. We welcome applicants who are passionate about helping children's learning, able to use initiative, patient, organised and able to build positive relationships with

Qualifications

• Previous experience of working with children, knowledge of child development/how children learn would be an advantage, but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Work with groups of children and support the needs of individual children.
• Support the class teacher in delivering lessons.
• Assist during lunchtimes and supervise children.
• May administer first aid (training provided).

Job description

We are looking for anenthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our strong, friendly and motivatedstaff team, on a 1 year fixed term contract.

As a TeachingAssistant, you will work under the direction of the class teacher. Your dutieswill include workingwith groups of children, supporting the needs of individual children andsupporting the class teacher in delivering lessons, as well as lunchtimesupervision of children.
