Job summary

TeacherActive Ltd seeks a compassionate Teaching Assistant to support pupils in Sully. The role combines general classroom duties with 1-1 support for pupils with behavioural, emotional and social difficulties, in a full-time, ongoing arrangement.

You will help learners stay engaged, support emotional regulation, and build trusting relationships in a mainstream setting. Immediate start with PAYE arrangement; a competitive daily rate is offered.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children within a primary school or similar setting.
• Experience supporting pupils with behavioural, emotional and social difficulties.
• Experience providing 1-1 support to children with ALN.
• Confidence supporting learning within a mainstream classroom.
• Resilience and the ability to remain calm and consistent when managing challenging behaviour.
• A caring, patient and adaptable approach.

Responsibilities

• Combine general mainstream LSA duties with 1-1 support for pupils with behavioural, emotional and social difficulties.
• Support learning in the classroom, help pupils regulate their emotions and behaviour, and build consistent relationships that encourage positive engagement with school.
