Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year's experience as a Teaching Assistant.
  • Experience with learners who have an EHCP is beneficial.
  • Full, clean UK Driving License required.

Teaching Assistant

Hours: Part-Time, Permanent, 28 hrs per week, Mon - Thurs


Location: Wolverhampton


Salary: NMW - GBP24,000 per annum, pro rata (depending on experience, skills & qualifications)

As a Teaching Assistant, you will have a passion for working with students with special educational needs and will be committed to ensuring all students access high-quality education and support. You will work closely with tutors in the classroom and during outdoor activities/trips.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the class teacher in lesson preparation and delivery.
  • Provide daily reports on learners’ progress and barriers to learning.
  • Interact regularly with parents/caregivers.
  • Assist in managing behavioural difficulties.
  • Motivate, challenge, and inspire students to achieve their best.
  • Contribute to our core vision and values.
  • Work independently and as part of a team.
  • Maintain strong subject knowledge in English and Maths.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 1 year’s experience as a Teaching Assistant in an education setting.
  • Relevant qualification/training in Special Education.
  • Experience with learners who have an EHCP is beneficial.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Vision, innovation, and passion for teaching and learning.
  • Support with planning and assessing, be creative and proactive.

Full, clean UK Driving License
