Job summary

Zest Education is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support pupils with a range of complex needs, including autism and SEMH, in a specialist educational setting.

You will work closely with teachers and therapists to implement education and behaviour plans, adapt activities and promote emotional regulation, resilience and social skills. Immediate start and ongoing training are offered to a supportive team.

Job description

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a supportive Teaching Assistant to start immediately. This Teaching Assistant position will involve working with pupils who have a range of complex needs, including autism, communication difficulties, social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH), and associated learning challenges. The successful Teaching Assistant will help create an inclusive and positive learning experience, supporting pupils to achieve both academically and personally.

The Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Support pupils with autism, SEMH needs, and additional learning difficulties.
  • Help implement individual education and behaviour support plans.
  • Adapt resources and classroom activities to meet individual learning needs.
  • Promote emotional regulation, resilience, and positive behaviour strategies.
