Job summary

Redhill Academy Trust in Tupton is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support pupils with special educational needs and help them make good progress in lessons. You will work closely with the SENDCO and subject teachers to adapt teaching materials to individual student profiles, supporting a nurturing classroom environment and close collaboration with families.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will assist classroom teachers in their work in ensuring that students with special education needs make good progress and participate in lessons

The successful candidate will work with the SENDCO and subject teachers to ensure that teaching and resources are adjusted in line with individual student profiles - helping prepare resources as necessary.

You’ll provide support for students, parents, teachers and the school to establish a supportive and nurturing learning environment.

Tutors are paid per lesson/booked session. Rates may vary depending on subject, level, experience and student demand. Tutors can set their availability and may offer 1-to-1 tutoring, group classes and/or online courses through the Tutoring Ambitions platform. Platform commission applies to bookings.
