Job summary

Teaching Personnel are recruiting enthusiastic Teaching Assistants for secondary schools around Middlesbrough, starting in September and ongoing. You will deliver targeted 1:1 and small group interventions to support student progress and assist teachers in delivering engaging lessons.

Responsibilities include creating a positive, inclusive learning environment, supporting classroom management, and contributing to a focused atmosphere.

Qualifications

• Experience working as a Teaching Assistant or Learning Support Assistant.
• Interest in working with young people and pursuing a career in education.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one, plus background checks.

Salary: Daily rate: £94 - £105 depending on experience

The Role

• Deliver targeted 1:1 and small group interventions to support student progress
• Assist teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons
• Help create a positive, inclusive, and motivating learning environment
• Support classroom management and contribute to a focused learning atmosphere

Who We re Looking For

• Experience working as a Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant, or in a similar educational support role.
• A genuine interest in working with young people and pursuing a career in education
• An understanding of SEND needs (such as ASD, ADHD, SEMH, or speech and language) is highly desirable
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one, as well as satisfactory background checks
