Job summary

Outcomes First Group (OFG) invites applications for a Teaching Assistant at Bricklehurst Manor School, Stonegate, TN5 7EL. This permanent, term-time-only role is 37.5 hours per week, with a 5pm finish, and a salary up to £24,000 depending on experience.

You’ll support pupils with SEMH and SEN in the classroom, outdoors, during sensory breaks and enrichment activities, always with patience and empathy to help them feel safe and capable of achieving more.

Qualifications

  • GCSE English and Maths at grade C/4 or above (or equivalent).
  • Genuine interest in supporting pupils with SEMH and/or SEN needs.
  • Calm, caring, proactive approach to duties.
  • Able to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • A full driving licence is required.
  • Experience working in SEMH or specialist education settings with young children.

Responsibilities

  • Support pupils in the classroom, outdoors, during sensory breaks and enrichment activities.
  • Be a steady, positive presence helping pupils feel safe, understood and capable.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff to lift pupils' outcomes and wellbeing.
  • Maintain patient, empathetic engagement with students and families.

Hours: 37.5 hours per week | Monday–Friday | including 1 x 5pm finish

Salary: Up to £24,000 per annum (depending on experience, not pro rata)

Contract: Permanent | Term Time Only

What We’re Looking For
  • GCSE Grade C / 4 or above (or equivalent) in English and Maths
