The Teaching Assistant Responsibilities

• Work with class teachers to raise pupils' learning and attainment
• Promote independence, self-esteem, and social inclusion among pupils
• Support pupils individually or in groups to access the curriculum and experience achievement
• Assist with planning, preparation, and resources for lessons
• Adopt relevant strategies to support teaching and increase achievement, including for pupils with SEND
• Encourage participation in learning and extracurricular activities
• Apply consistent behaviour management strategies in line with school policies
• Maintain good order and discipline, managing behaviour effectively for a safe learning environment
• Organise and manage the classroom and resources to ensure a stimulating and safe environment
