Job summary

Oasis Academy Broadoak is a values-driven, inclusive primary school in Ashton-under-Lyne seeking a Level 3 Teaching Assistant to support pupils, including those with SEND and EAL, and help them reach their full potential. You will work with teachers to deliver engaging lessons and foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment.

The role requires collaboration, strong communication, and a commitment to safeguarding.

Qualifications

• Level 3 qualification and GCSEs in English & Maths (A–C).
• Experience in a school setting and knowledge of the primary curriculum.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and behaviour management skills.
• Commitment to safeguarding and continuous professional development.
• Experience in KS1 (Desirable).

Responsibilities

• Support pupils—including those with SEND and EAL—to access learning and achieve their best.
• Work alongside teachers to deliver engaging lessons and create a positive classroom environment.
• Promote inclusion, independence, and self-esteem for all pupils.
• Occasionally provide cover supervision and assist with planning and assessment.
