Milk Education is working with a primary school in Salford (M28) seeking a full-time Year 2 Teaching Assistant to work 1-1 with a child in Year 2 who has Autism. This role starts in Sept 2024 and is a temporary, long-term position.

The school is looking for someone who is patient, nurturing, and accommodating to the child's learning needs. The hours are 08:30 am - 15:30 pm, Monday to Friday.

This role involves keeping the child on task, ensuring their work is of good standard, preparing resources, and meeting the child's needs. You will provide a patient and nurturing learning environment.

Teaching Assistant - Role & Responsibilities:

• Promote inclusion and acceptance of all children
• Support children consistently while responding to their individual needs
• Assist the teacher with lesson planning, evaluation, and adjustments
• Deliver catch-up sessions

Teaching Assistant Level - Non-negotiables:

• Recent/relevant experience working with children and young people within the past two years
• A passion for education
• Good numeracy and literacy skills
• Ability to work under the guidance of the teacher
• Reliability and punctuality
