Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking a caring SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming secondary school in Sale. You will support students with SEN both in and out of the classroom, helping them access learning, develop independence and build confidence.

The role involves working closely with teaching staff, supporting students with additional needs such as autism, ADHD and other learning difficulties, and contributing to a safe, inclusive learning environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN is desirable.
• A willingness to learn and a genuine passion for education are important.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about supporting young people with special educational needs and helping them reach their full potential.

The successful candidate will work closely with teaching staff to support students both in and out of the classroom, helping them access learning, develop independence and build confidence. You may be supporting students with a range of additional needs, including autism, ADHD, social, emotional and mental health needs, and learning difficulties.

The ideal candidate will have a positive, flexible approach, strong communication skills and the ability to build supportive relationships with students. Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN is desirable, although a willingness to learn and a genuine passion for education are equally important.
